Habitat: From eastern and central Canada to Mexico.
Found in coniferous forests, parks and gardens.
The male has a bright yellow forehead and eyebrows. The head, back and breast range from dark yellow to brown. The secondary flight feathers and inner greater coverts are white.
The female has grey on her head, plumage and back. The nape is pale yellow. The tips of the tail feathers are white, and the bases of the primary flight feathers have white spots.
Not recommended for beginners. A spacious aviary is recommended.
